Everyone is invited to the Installation Service for Rev. Dr. Paul Bradford on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at our church. It is a Classis Worship Service and 30-35 people from Classis will attend, as well as special guests. A reception will follow the service. Childcare will be provided. Dr. Bradford will preach his first worship service as our new Pastor on June 7.

Bren Shantz will be recognized on May 31 for his time as Worship Leader. His last day as regular leader is June 7. We are grateful for his heart for God and talents in leading us in worship each week the last few years and in keeping our focus on God in our corporate worship. You may personally thank Bren at the cake reception between services.

The next Congregational Update is June 7. We will give updates on the search for a youth director and a worship leader.

Our Summer Worship Schedule moves to one service at 9:30 a.m. on June 14. The new schedule will run through September 6, Labor Day weekend. The change in schedule will be communicated in the local community and on our church website in the future.

Summer Socials will be held after the 9:30 a.m. services throughout the summer. Different ministry teams of the church will take turns hosting them. This is a good time for fellowship.

Youth Ministry – May 2015

“For everything there is a season,

a time for every activity under heaven.

A time to be born and a time to die.

A time to plant and a time to harvest.

A time to kill and a time to heal.

A time to tear down and a time to build up.

A time to cry and a time to laugh.
A time to grieve and a time to dance.

A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones.
A time to embrace and a time to turn away.

A time to search and a time to quit searching.

A time to keep and a time to throw away.

A time to tear and a time to mend.

A time to be quiet and a time to speak.

A time to love and a time to hate.
A time for war and a time for peace.
What do people really get for all their hard work? I have seen the burden God has placed on us all. Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.” Ecclesiastes 3:1-11 (NLT).
With graduation just around the corner, a new senior pastor, and the anticipated hire of a permanent youth director, this is a time of change and transition in the life of our church and our youth program. Please take some time in prayer for our graduates, our church, and our students, during this season of change.
Parents’ Tip:
Pass this on to your students as they graduate from High School, from Middle School or from one grade to the next.
